If you are at least 18 years old, have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and have been attending Ecclesia for more than three months, you are welcome to express your desire for membership. We recommend that you read over our Statement of Faith to be sure that you agree with each point. To submit your name for membership consideration, simply fill out the Membership Card that is located on the main table at the rear of the auditorium. Drop the card in one of the giving boxes, and we will contact you.
Membership at Ecclesia
The state of Texas requires that non-profit organizations such as churches have a membership of some sort. Church membership is not a means of salvation; becoming a member of Ecclesia or any other church does not assure of anything from God's vantage point. Church membership also is not a requirement for worshipping or serving at Ecclesia, and it is not a command found in the Bible. The Bible does encourage believers, however, to meet regularly with a group of Christians as we belong to one another (see Hebrews 10:25 and Romans 12:4-5).
Some churches link church membership and water baptism, but that is not the case at Ecclesia. If you'd like to learn more about water baptism, you are welcome to make an appointment with one of pastors by calling 806-794-2662.
